I am working on a document management system, where people can fax in docuemnts that are either generated or have hand written text on them. Both of these docuemnts will have a barcode on them. Does anyone know of a barcode decoder that I can use on the backend of this sytem. There wont be a wand to use, I need a piece of software that can read the barcode images that come from the fax server.

I wrote one that does datamatrix 2d and I also wrote one that can decode alot of other barcode formats. I have written any documentation for them, but the inline documentation should be enough. If anyone wants a copy feel tree to email me.

I just wonder do you have improved the barcode reading function of your document management system? I want to use similar barcode scanner app to arrange my CDs and books, something similar like:
