Cold fusion(MX7) application building in Dreamweaver 8. When I click on the Servor Behaviors > Insert Record, I get an error saying "Before using the server behavior, please create a form. I have already created the form. I have used this feature few months ago. I don't know why it is giving me this error. Please help.
Thanks.

are you using <cfform> for the forms, if this is the case, it will not recognize the form tag and will give you the possibility of the above error you explained in your post.

Also do name you <form name=form1> as it will automatically pick the form name when it will creating server behaviour,

Also are using the same page for inserting, i prefer do not do this, as if someone refreshs the page, there is a possibility of reentering or duplicate records, just a suiggestion

hope that hepls you in solving your problemo

thankx

I tried to recreate your error and found that first you must save the file. Then just use form not cfform. It does not recognize cfform for one reason or another. You can just have
form action="" method="post"
/form

After it creates the insert you can change your form back to a cfform.
