For some strange reason, in dreamweaver 8, my database file isn't uploading. Its an .mdb file.

Here is the result.
> CWD /httpdocs/db
< 250 CWD command successful.
> PORT 10,0,0,1,7,212
< 200 PORT command successful.
> TYPE A
< 200 Type set to A.
> LIST
< 150 Opening ASCII mode data connection for /bin/ls.
< 226 Transfer complete.

The file "/httpdocs/db/noticeboard.mdb" was skipped.

Why is it skipped? Question All other files work fine. This file is 2 mbs

Please help
Louis

EDIT: Forgot to mention, a popup comes up saying Server Timed out. Skip File Try Again or Cancel.

Notice-Board in NZ has now been released. Check it out at www.notice-board.co.nz !!

For starters; you are uploading the database to your server in ASCII format.. it needs to be transferred in BINARY.

With that aside... when Access is used as a datasource; it will lock the file and put it as "read-only" is the database in that mode? (do you see an ldb file with the same name? If so; then you will need to drop the connection by throwing an invalid CFQuery SQL statement such as "SELECT * FROM NoTableThatExist" or something like that.)

Let me know if you have any questions.

Make sure to close the access db you are working on locally before uploading.
