I must be missing something real obvious!

I have decided to convert from MS Access db to MySql, and I'm wondering about my sanity! After finally getting the MySql server running and daring to use the migrate tool, successfully to convert the db, I'm now working on the CF Admin connection.

I read and printed the Macromedia TechNote http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=6ef0253 on "How to use MySQL 4.1 with ColdFusion MX".

I downloaded the driver (mysql-connector-java-3.1.10-bin.jar) and installed it in the WEB-INF/lib folder under wwwroot.

I then followed the instructions for setting the data connection and have tried both the port for the CF server (8500) and the MySQL server (3306).

JDBC URL: jdbc:mysql:localhost:3306/mmdb
Driver Class: com.mysql.jdbc.Driver

I still get the same error:

Connection verification failed for data source: mmdbsql
[]java.sql.SQLException: No suitable driver
The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException: No suitable driver

Can someone please tell me what I've done wrong here? I feel like I've gone back to kindergarden... nope make that play school!

Thanks,
Betty

Just in case anyone else needs to know an older version may do the trick.

mysql-connector-java-3.0.16-ga-bin
or
mysql-connector-java-3.0.17-ga-bin

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I think I'm a Hypochondriac, what do you take for that?
That is exactly what did the trick!
