HI, I managed to install sql2008 express on my windows 7 notebook and imported data from live online sql2000 db, but i cannot just set a simple data source connection in cf admin? I've tried 127.0.0.1 with sa, local, (local)....with and without sa etc. I have it set to Windows authentication so I dunno where I'm going wrong? Any ideas greatly appreciated...thanks.

try it not using Windows Authentication, use an actual SQL user.

See the SQL section of this tutorial (even though this is CF MX 6, it's the same thing)

Hello again, I'm still stuck with this problem...everything seems to be running ok but I just can't login and set up the datasource connection?
Could you look at the screenshots I made and see what you think?

Many thanks in advance.

I believe the same applies for 2008
