Playful Wink  Ok, I gotcha. I thought you were serious at first. It's been a while
since I have been on the forums, and I rarely have an opportunity to do
so I can never tell what may have changed since I last stopped in. No
Wories Smile

On to the trim bit... The use of char caused the extra whitespace to
show up on the output. Even if I trimmed it on the input query.
Changing the field to varchar did work. The other forums I read about
this issue, said to use the trim on the output. I thought that was a bit
of a fluff answer. I knew someone here like you guys would have a
better answer for me. I knew it had to be in the database and not the
code. Having never used MS SQL before I was a bit baffled by it and not
sure what to try. Thanks again for shedding light on this for me.
