I've never used CF on linux, but from what I understand,
if you know linux/apache, you'll be happier using that
vs. windows.

When it comes to Coldfusion, they are pretty much the same thing. Linux or Windows; with one exception which is in Linux EVERYTHING is case sensative. (It's an OS limitation).

Linux is a little faster processing (as it is with most things) but to the developer (for the most part) they should be very similar.

one last thing, the case sesative can drive you crazy with the Application.cfm, Application.cfc and onRequestEnd.cfm (if you use those).

If the files are not created with the case provided above, ColdFusion will not find them and you will be left sitting there scratching your heads trying to understand why... Smile
