I've been using fusionlink.com for a long time.  I really used to like it but now things have gone down hill.  Despite the $24/mo price the features were nice for me.  Now, it takes them forever to respond to trouble tickets and stuff even though they boast 24/7 "help" service.  The main problem with them I am having is that they don't allow you to change folders to CHMOD 777.  Which means that you can't install programs in a timely manner.  Then 1/2 of the time when I ask them to change it so that I can install the programs, they take forever then tell me they can't support the program.  I've had issues with some common php programs like phpBB3 and some Auction software.  Here is my latest trouble ticket with them:

So, anyone have any suggestions on a reliable host that will allow you do stuff?  I posted a long time ago on the hosting a to z thread but nobody every responded which makes me wonder if it's good or not.  Thanks.

I like Crystaltech.com...well now they're called newtek I think. Reliable hosting, and their support is the best! If you do have an issue, you dont request a ticket and then sit and wait, hoping you will get a reponse in a couple hours, no you go on live chat with a certified CF technician. They also have 24/7 phone support as well. Their shared plans start at $16.00 a month, so they are very affordable compared to most other CF hosting plans.

I also have a site hosted with dailyrazor.com. I wasnt too happy with them at first, but they seem to be ok. They dont have live support, so thats a headache to me, so it usually takes a few hours to even hear back from support when issues arise. But they are only $10.00 a month. Not much cheaper than crystaltech.

Well I am NOT satisfied. You have to install PhpMyAdmin yourself, each database has its own server and worse still NO MySQL improved support!!! What the heck to have Coldfusion 9 without updating their MySQL and PHP servers????/
