I can't believe it but I removed the latest patch that was released by Adobe and it fixed the problems that you were facing.

It is hard to believe that the Adobe released a patch to fix the bugs but it caused another issues  Scared

I started up a reseller account with them and to be honest I have more problems then I
really care for. Granted some of the
requests I put in are due to an error on my part, but the number of times the servers have
gone down and we have had NO
websites live is too many to number.

Recently they performed a complete server migration and it screwed every website I have
hosted with them. The problem
is we weren't warned about it and I was on my holiday and having to work every evening.

I can't complain about the price, and I suppose you get what you pay for, but there are loads
of issues, and if they are
going to perform maintenance, shouldn't there be a back up server so that it is all done in
the background?? We are a UK
based outfit, and if maintenance is being carried out in the early hours of the night US,
means that us in the UK have no
sites in the middle of the day!!!!

I am currently awaiting a reply as ALL of the sites we host there are down and I have some
pretty angry people phoning up. Emails take up to an hour if not more to come through due
to the security issues...

Personally I would tread very carefully...

Been pretty good lately.

In fact, I think I'll throw caution to the wind and place a commercial site with them in the next few weeks.

How is hostingatoz now? Do the pages load quickly?

Has anyone tried having backup hosting when sites go down? I´m thinking have cheap hostingatoz hosting for sites which when and if they go down the other host kicks in, what do you think? TIA

Checking the timestamp of my reply above reveals it's been well over a week since the RAID failure.

I have a site I use on that chilled server for testing and general mucking around purposes. When they started getting the sites back up they asked people still having issues to let them know, which made me wonder what was specific to the failure they had that made it impossible to know what sites they actually host or unwilling to check that all the sites they had on that server were restored. I still don't know the answer to that, but I decided not to tell them about this test site to see if they are actually capable / willing to check for themselves, as might be a reasonable thing to do for any host in that situation.

Long story short...that server isn't serving that site's pages after more than a week since the failure. When I need to use that site, which will be soon, I will let them know it's still down.

Mental note...back-up my other sites myself, every day. Do not rely on this [**edit** or any] host to do so or have bullet-proof recovery strategies. Wink

My site has been up and down a few times this week. I would rather pay extra 10 bucks per year to get a stable hosting service. hostingatoz is very cheap but very unstable. Well, I guess I got what I paid for. I'm switching my hosting soon. Would not recommend this hostingatoz to anyone. The worst hosting I ever had.
