What would be a good maximize size for a cf template?

Is 400K or so a bit large, if so should i break it up?

depends on a lot of things.

What does the template do? do you have logic and display separated or are they all on the same page?

The template is used for HTTP requests and contains more display with a few hundred cfifs.

if reccomended they could be easly broken up in to a few pages.

HOLY SON OF MOSES!!!

400 kb?? Will that be on everypage. Cuz downloading half a megabyte each time you go to a page will definetly break some main web design rules (well actually just 1. The one that says people won't wait longer than 10 seconds).

Why so big?

louissto56,
you may not have understand my reply take your time before replying and think it over, as ive noticed
the template to be processed, is broken in to hundrends of conditional blocks, and using httpReguest, so the responce data is only about up to say 10K

Right. But still... doesn't it slow the pages down? Cuz its still running a 400kb file.

Hi daveED,

Just out of curiosity, if you feed that template data that won't trip the cfif until near the end of all those cfif's, how long does the page take to execute?

Thanks. Sounds pretty good to me. Nothing I'd be losing sleep over.
