Other than CFQUERY & CFOUTPUT what are the most common ColdFusion Tags you use,
and what is your favorite cf tag.

I use conditional statments for program control flow.
CFIF
CFELSEIF

Structures;

CFSET
CFPARAM

CFQUERYPARAM to help prevent SQL Injection

My favorite cf tag is the classic CFIF

Hmm I would definitely say cfset but then again I guess thats expected. Smile  To be a bit more original or different I know I use a lot of cfimport for my custom tags and cfcomponent and cffunction for OO development. I use cfdump very regularly too for debugging. One of the best tags in CF by far.

<iu:tagName>

that would have to be one of mine... specially since i use it a lot to create the front end display... but wait.. that isnt a CFTag you say? Sure it is! Smile

<cfimport> defines the import of the custom tag library.. then the UI call is what I use to do all content display... from tables, to form buttons, etc... that allows me to keep structure Smile

but aside from that... overall; cfset and cfdump Smile

The secret word for this post was "luxuries" and boy do we have many cool ones in CF! Smile  Well said Pablo as I've been using custom tags as of late. I only have table, column and paging custom tags for now as reusable UI elements but here at work we have many more that are project specific.

In fact I've been working on a flexible errors custom tag for my new data validator. A simple way to display all error messages grouped (for example at the top of a form) or shown individually (for each form field). And it also can render custom HTML output via the custom tags generated content (content nested between start and ending custom tag).
