Hello Everyone,
Recently, I had posted here about beta testing the cms that I have been working on. But since I need to do a rewrite on the latest version because of the new features, I am offering the previous release for free.

It is a content management system that writes static html or cfm pages, supports unlimited templates, plugins, per page meta tags, unique designs and so on.

It is the full version and is 100% editable in dreamweaver and brandable.

All I ask is that if you use the cms for yourself, your clients or use it to build a sitebuilder system that you will at least email me and let me know what you think. I've written the entire system by myself with the help of a book and my own ideas. I'm not a professional coder so I'm sure some areas could be improved but I've not shared nor have I used any ideas from anyone else. It is a personal project and creation. Email chris@hotfuzion.com with your comments, thoughts or feature requests.

Download it @ http://www.hotfuzion.com

Regards,
Chris

Quick Update.. I had said that I didn't use anyone's ideas when writing the cms. This part is true but I did use some code written by Pablo for the Login based on his tutorial I think.

Anyway, I have updated the download to include a credits file to give credit where credit is due.

Thanks,
Chris

Hello Everyone..

Another quick update.

For anyone who is using the cms system or have any plans to try and do anything with it, I just wanted to let you know that there is a free coldfusion file manager called CFFM. I found version 1.3 this morning and integrated into a test copy of ISOLO. It has instructions for adding it to the fckeditor but you can also add in 3 new links to the frame.nav.cfm as well to directly access the image, flash, and file manager.

Adding this correctly to the cms with the file manager linking to the default root directory of the site allows you to not only manage files but lets you edit the templates, robots.txt, .css and you can even edit the backend cfm code as well. Though i wouldn't recommend trying this on a live site unless you know exactly what you are doing. Otherwise, You can copy any file giving it a backup extention or whatever so you'll always have an original.

Anyway, Just found cffm this morning and it alone adds many more features to the cms.

Thanks for all of the great comments,
Chris

Not sure if this one is still up... you could also check out FarCry CMS (Free
too)...

farcry is probably the best there is out there as far as free cms, but it is not "simple" - did some poking around and looks like ISOLO cms is over at cfopen http://cfopen.org/projects/isolo/

cfnuke has been resurrected - link is http://www.mycfnuke.com/  - (cfnuke was at one point was resurrected as cfxtreme http://www.cfxtreme.net/ but that site is now gone and cfnuke's old site is back again)

also there is seedwiki http://sourceforge.net/projects/seedwiki/ which is a content management framework that supports creating and editing pages that can be viewed in different formats (wikis, blogs, etc).

SpeckCms http://www.speckcms.org/ An open-source content management framework built as a library of ColdFusion custom tags. Example CMS provides a set of out-of-the-box content management capabilities.

CF:XOOPS (eXtensible "Object-Oriented" Portal System for ColdFusion) http://sourceforge.net/projects/cfxoops

Wow, thank you for all the awesome links.. Very helpful.  I have tried FarCry and it seems like a great system, but like you said not easy..  To me, by the time I figure out how to implement what I want to do, I would probably be better off starting from scratch..  I will revisit that one at a later time and place.  I will check out these links now to see if there is someting I can use.

Hey megan, any idea what happened to CFXtreme.net? I've had several people asking me. All I know is it has been down for some time now.
