Hello all!

I am currently rebuilding the Corrado Club of America web site from ground up!

Our most used feature, the classifieds is in the works. I am working on this almost every day for only a few minutes at a time, so its hard to focus on the overall project sometimes.

Please look for errors, exploits, non-sensicalnesses (thats the official word for anything that just dont make no sense!)

I expect a LARGE list from you smart people.

PLEASE NOTE!! if someone already mentioned it, no need to repeat it. I will post back what i fix, so the testing can continue.

oh yeah, the url: http://www.slc-soft.com/cca3
check the classifieds link at top to view classifieds.
click the profile link on the top left to enter the members area for adding and managing ads (suedo-log-on-enabled)

dev server is slow, please be patient, thanks for the help!

to see the site this is replacing, please visit http://www.corrado-club.com

overall, very nice.  clean, easy to navigate.

the one thing i see at the moment is that if i search for a particular car (say a 1995 VR6), and then click on a specific car to see the details, I see no link to take me back to the list of 1995 VR6's.  Yes, I can hit the 'back' button...but you generally want to give people all of their navigation elements within the browser window, and not leave them 'stranded' having to rely on the browser itself for navigation.

Also, I like the idea of 'send a private message' on the car detail page, but wonder what purpose it serves since the owner's email is showing anyway (i'm looking at http://www.slc-soft.com/cca3/classifieds/ad_detail_cars.cfm?id=167...maybe not all of them will have e-mails posted?)

that's all i got for now.  hope it helps. Smile

thanks! I know there is at least one or two other places that need links back.

The private message / email deal is this: the user has the abillity to hide or show phone numbers and email on each ad. The ad you refered to simple has email visable. send PM will always be an option.

Can a few people make new ads and upload images and see how it all goes? (besides "its slow").
thanks!
