Hi guys.  I've been working on a new forum, similar to this one.  It's still incomplete, but should be completed within the week since I'm the only one working on it.  However registration, user authentication, topic posting and the search engine is in working order.  If you guys would like to check it out and/or register here is the address.

Most of it is a bit messy, but I've only been working with ColdFusion for about 3 months.  If you like i can send the source code for you to play with.

the auction site looks cool, but i can quite figure out what's going on with the scholarship site Smile

louis has taught me that length of time doing something doesn't make someone superior... i get shown things on a regular basis that blow me away (stuff i never thought of)... so don't discount your efforts.

if you don't mind - i'd be glad to play around with your code - i might learn something out of it Wink

Thanks I appreciate you taking a look at them.  The scholarship DBM (database management) was purposefully designed to not be user-friendly, it's kind of a security effect.  the people who are going to be using it are going to be the ones that have been giving explicit authorization.  Reason being is because they are going to interface all of their databases with this system.

I sent the source code.  it's from
   travis@tserver.net

Thanks again.

thanks! i noticed the address on your business card. though originally from kentucky i spent about 12 years in fayetteville nc (ft bragg army brat). great area.

i see about the database app - makes sense.

thanks for sharing - do you mind if i pass anything around to anyone else who asks?  if you do mind, it'll stay 'local'.

Have a great Christmas!

You can pass it around, just make sure my information stays in it if you don't mind.  Thanks and you have a Merry Christmas as well.  Yeah it's pretty nice here, but there's just nothing to do, I plan to move as soon as I get my business up and going the way I want it.
