I am looking to create an online support chat system where a website viewer can choose to speak to a member of staff. I have seen setups where the host server would have chat software installed and code would be written to send and recieve messages through that chat server. I am looking for a way to send it with session variables and may a txt/html file that can be added to and deleted after the session has been timed out. Also the website I am developing this for recieved 119,000 hits in the month of January 2004 (their peak time) so each chat would have to be seperated, similiar to an IM rather then a chat room. Any ideas?

I am aware of the other post, but no help was offered.

I have two chat programs, one is basic -- chat room type and the other one-on-one, would be happy to show it to you if interested.

Thanks for the reply. I would be really interested in seeing the one on one chat.

I found a Cnet news article stating that AOL was going to release a developers kit for AIM and ICQ early 2004. Here is the article if you are interested. If you are aware of this kit and know where I can get it... I would appreciate the help.

Hi Jim,

The kit has not yet been released, I am awaiting it's release as I am building a system to integrate messengers, email, etc into a single location for one of my applications 9mostly for notifications)...

You can read more on it here:
