I have been using the cfx_image dll to create
thumbnails for sometime on my site, and suddenly
it just stopped working, I have restarted, the
machine several times. I deleated the original
CFX_IMAGE.DLL and replaced it with a new one. I
even remapped the CFX location in the CF Admin.
It then worked once then quit working again.  I don;t
know what it could be, does anyone have any idea
what could be causing the issue?

Thanks in advance

Well, what is the error you're getting?

Thanks,

Here is the error in the application log

Unexpected error occurred while processing tag.
The cause of this error is yet unknown.

The error occurred while processing an element
with a general identifier of (CFX_IMAGE), occupying
document position (66:3) to (72:25).

Keep in mind this is a page that hasn't changed, it
just stoped working.

Some must have changed, otherwise it wouldn't be giving you errors.

Next things to keep in mind,

- Are you LOW on hard drive space?
- If you are specifying paths, are they VALID still?
Did you change any type of security settings? (folders, execute, etc..)

Thanks,
Pablo Varando

Ok, I've been doing some investigation on it and
what I am finding is that I can upload from a
remote system just not the local system. don't
know why. it sounds really peculiure... some bug
probably...

Could be... is the error with CF or the tag itself?

Thanks,
Pablo Varando

It seams to be on the server... However Iv'e been
investigating this issue for a few days now, and what
I think it could be is the files had incomplete header
information, or somehow the CF Server thinks there is
a problem with the file being uploaded. So I think its
just a problem with the way Photoshop saved the
files...

Thanks

Mark

Just had the same problem and found that re-starting the 'ColdFusion Application Server' service sorted out the problem. Hope this helps someone in the future.
