From the documentation, the process of archiving a log file seems pretty straightforward, but I can’t find the archived log files.

I am running Coldfusion 8 under Apache HTTP server.  It’s pretty much a plain vanilla implementation using default settings.

If I click the “archive log file” button on one of the files, it recreates the log file, but what does it do with the old file?  It seems the old file is just deleted.  Is there something I must do in Administrator to explicitly enable archiving?

I may be wrong (if so, someone pitch in) but archive = delete. Plain and simple.

I don't see anything in Administrator where "acrhive = delete" might be set.

I do see "Maximum number of archives: 10".  This is the default.
