i have created one shopping cart, but i want to know how i manage my software only to be downloaded when the user makes the payment through paypal, i wannause paypal only, i want the link for the download to be avaliable to the user only, when he makes an payment and i offer him the username/password for the link to be access and then he can download theat software,

thanks this tutorial is good but i can't find thw way how to make it workable with my website, i am bit confused over the pablo's logic and my logic of building this shoping cart, plase help sorting out this problem

I think Pablo's tutorial should work for you.

What you need to do is have a database with a field like "paid" or something like that. When a user pays through PayPal, set the value to True. Then, on the member's area, have a little cfif that will show the link to the download.

If the member's area is only for people who have paid, in Application.cfm, put a clause so that those pages can only be viewed by people with yourdbtable.paid = true.

If the member's area is for anyone whether they have paid or not, put the download file in a separate directory, and in that directory's Application.cfm put the clause so only paid users can access those files.

I hope that made sense.
