I just read the http://tutorial96.easycfm.com. I don't quite understand the term "url.flush". What does it do?

I tried above tutorial code, got the error message "Element FLUSH is undefined in URL."

Can anyone explain it to me?

Thanks

application timeout settings are set in the <cfapplication> tag.  Usually this timeout is set to around 1 day.  This way you can set application variables once per day and they will reside in server memory for 1 day and not have to be re-set on every page call.  For example, the code in the IF statement only runs if the application.siteurl variable isn't defined, meaning the application timeout length has been exceeded OR you add URL.flush to the URL.

You would use URL.flush if you wanted the application variables to be reset and didn't want to wait the 1 day for them to timeout and be reset on their own.
