Hello --

I have been creating a web app in CF and developing
this on my home server with the hopes to migrate this
onto the web host I am using (CF9 supported/installed).
I discovered today that they do not allow collections,
so I'm unsure how to create data searches without
CFCOLLECTION or any of the indexing tools. Does anyone
have a link or ideas on where to start? I havent built
this part out yet, but was hoping it would have been
very simple as in the past (using CFCOLLECTION, etc).

Thanks!

What host are you using and what are you paying per
month?

Hello --

We are paying about $40/mo. I am more interested in a
solution vs. having to have a client move their hosts.

Thanks.

The problem if they disabled it is that you don't
really
have any real options. Aside from building your own by
putting data into a database and then searching for it
in
traditional ways. You just lost the percentages and the
real power of verity collections.

Depending on the host, they might be able to configure
an
exception allowing your system to leverage it is they
are
using secure sandboxes... but that will depend on the
host.
