I need a coldfusion text editor to edit text files, nothing big. I want it to read what files are there and then be able to open them and edit them in an notepad like envirorment. Wink

4red:

you're not really asking for a tutorial as much as you're asking somebody to write an application for you.

I'd suggest you look at the following tags:

<cfdirectory>
<cffile action="read">
<cffile action="write">

that's what you need to get started.  If you have specific questions, by all means, post to the Coding Help section, and I (or another member) will be more than happy to assist you.

Tutorial up... http://tutorial144.easycfm.com/

Sorry for the delay.. but being that I manually color code all the text (I prefer to do it this way, as it gives it a personal touch and attention that the tutorial deserves Smile  )and review it, etc... it taks a bit...

Either way... It's up Smile  Enjoy and thanks CJ.... keep 'em coming Playful Wink

Thanks,
Pablo Varando

wasn't trying to pick on ya.  we all appreciate the time you put into posting the tutorials.  I know you don't just do 1 big copy/paste.

I was just letting Mr. 4red know that it was forthcoming Smile

Are you wanting an executable or a web based one? I could see what you mean by this, but I'm not sure. I've been working on an executable and calling it "MyCF" which I have stopped working on for some reason. It is kind of a lite version of ColdFusion Studio. It's not all that great, but should be used by people that know the tags. I don't know who would download it, because nobody downloads the applications I make. Now, if I allowed people to download the source for XP-Resources, I'm sure many people would download it.

Questions or Comments? WE DON'T CARE! Keep them to yourself. LOL.
