Hi Folks,

Does anyone know how to automatically check a certain page of a website to see if it is linking to your site?

This will eventually be for setting up a reciporical links page.

Sorry if this has already been posted, cant find info anywhere.

Many thanks

Since your a CF expert, ill leave this short, you should understand.

Why dont you do a <cfhttp> and retrieve the content of the page. Then make it search the content that was retrieved with a simple refindnocase cf function.

Simple and works.

Cheers Domination

Often that's all I need to get going is a few function names, tags or other jargon. I'll take a look at these.

One question though... on first glance would this be quite thursty on server resources and take a long time to execute if there were a few hundred or thousand links?

Ok, one more question... does anyone have any alternative suggestions for me to fall back on and investigate?

yes. I figure between 1 and 4 seconds per link.

look into even gateways on CFMX 7 to do them asynchronously if your serious about it.
