Topic: Coldfusion Live Chat

So I've successfully written a CF chat that allows users to log in and have a conversation with users in a room. I'm interested in a live chat however. Its for my job. My boss wants this kind of chat. I need to use an XMPP server with it I'm assuming for a full out live chat experience (messages sent to available operators etc). I've installed Openfire but I'm not quite sure how to get these guys to talk to each other. What steps should I make in getting CF and XMPP to communicate??? Any advice would be much appreciate. We're running CF 8 on Win 2003 servers by the way.

A little outdated; but you should get the general idea.
